The Bridal Registry for Cosmetic Dental Care

CONGRATULATIONS! You are heading into COUPLEVILLE soon! You might be panicky, hysterical, tinged with excitement, anticipation and hefty doses of nervousness-to complete your endless shopping, pairing them, deciding on the menu to mehendi, and probably even juggling work along. So looking “YOUR BEST on the “D” day may be a far call.

On the most important day of your life “Your Wedding Day” everything has to be picture perfect. The dress, the flowers, the music, the rituals, the ceremony. But how about the one thing you'll be using most on that day? .......Your smile! If you have a less-than-perfect smile, you'll be surprised at how many options you have to fix it.

Dental Advice for Brides (and Grooms) to Be for that “PERFECT PICTURE”!

Here are the top tips, with everything a bride or groom needs to know about a beautiful smile for the Wedding Day:

A happy smile is a beautiful smile

One of the easiest things you can do to improve your smile is to have a regular check-up and cleaning. Gum disease, which causes red, swollen and puffy gums, can ruin an otherwise perfect smile.
  • A thorough cleaning and polishing at least 2 weeks before your wedding can ensure healthy gums and fresh breath for your big day. Maintain your healthy gums with daily brushing and flossing.
  •  A check-up may also reveal decay or worn fillings in the front teeth, which can cause brown spots or stains. Other teeth may have silver amalgam fillings in them, which cause the teeth to look grey or black.  Replacing old fillings with new cosmetic bonded fillings can brighten up your smile in no time!
  •  Bleaching is a must for anyone who wants their smile to look its best—unless your teeth have crowns or veneers already.
  •  If you have bleaching done before your wedding, be sure to avoid staining foods like tea, coffee, red wine, turmeric, coloured food and berries so your teeth will stay their brightest.  If you’re replacing fillings and plan to bleach, have the bleaching done first, so your new fillings will match your whiter smile.
SMILE MAKEOVERS

Creating a perfect smile could mean a smile makeover. If you’re considering a smile makeover for your wedding, you could be considering treatments which require a period of time to complete. Some of these could include:
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Gum Sculpting
  • Orthodontics or Invisalign braces
  • Crowns, Bridges or Implants
  • Dermal Lip Fillers for a plumper, fuller smile
  • Gingival depigmentation
  • Skyce tooth jewellery ( to match with your wedding/reception dress, FOR THAT DAZZLING SMILE)
If you’re considering a smile makeover, be sure to plan ahead for that picture perfect smile.

Bridal Dental-Emergency Kit
For the Wedding Day, prepare a Bridal Dental-Emergency Kit
  • Bring along some Vaseline to put inside your upper lip.  This is an old modelling trick for the dryness that comes from a lot of smiling.  It’ll also help to prevent your lipstick from getting on your teeth.
  • Have a travel toothbrush and toothpaste to neutralize bad breath odours instead of masking them.
  • Chlorfresh, Orbit white breath mints tucked into your handbag will get you through all of those congratulatory hugs and kisses without embarrassment.
  • Have tissues for lip blotting and removing lipstick stains from your teeth—and from your face from all those congratulations kisses.
  • Have compact lipstick and powder for touch up
